Anforderungen
- •Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Physics, Engineering, or related field
- •RP qualification from a certified body
- •Knowledge of radiation protection, operational dosimetry, and safety planning
- •Demonstrated experience in Monte Carlo radiation-transport simulations using FLUKA
- •Experience in radiation measurements and benchmarking
- •Knowledge and application of ionising radiation
- •Simulation of radiation environments
- •Knowledge and application of instrumentation and measurement techniques
- •Knowledge of Radiation Safety and personal dosimetry
- •Ability to build and maintain constructive and effective work relationships
- •Effective communication skills for documentation
- •Ability to deliver high quality work on time
- •Ability to work autonomously
- •Flexibility in adapting to shifting priorities
- •Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French
- •Valid driving licence

Deine Aufgaben
- •Support the CMS Technical Coordination Team during shutdowns
- •Optimize personnel dose related to radiation protection
- •Conduct feasibility studies for shielding options
- •Perform simulations of prompt radiation in detectors and cavern
- •Collaborate on activation-scenario simulations with HSE-Radio Protection
- •Disseminate radiation simulation results across CMS
- •Respond to simulation requests from CMS subsystems
- •Maintain and update the CMS nominal FLUKA model
- •Participate in radiation and activation measurements in the CMS cavern
