Turbopump Development Engineer [High-Thrust Rocket Engine](m/w/x)

As a Turbopump Development Engineer, you will focus on designing and optimizing turbopump components for rocket engines. You will also manage subcontractors and analyze test results to ensure high-performance outcomes.

Anforderungen

• •Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline, or bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience
• •Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design
• •Good understanding of industry standard and emerging manufacturing methods and constraints
• •Proficient in 3D CAD software and drafting
• •Experience writing software/scripts in languages like Python
• •Ability to infer system-level implications of component design choices
• •Strong ability to work in close collaboration with others
• •Strong oral and written communication skills
• •Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• •Strong research skills and ability to infer useful information from partial or contradictory sources
• •Drive towards excellence and ability to work within time constraints
• •Proficiency in organization and prioritization of tasks
• •Fluency in English
• •Some understanding of problems of machine dynamics, such as rotordynamics
• •Strong understanding of liquid-propellant rocket engines as a system
• •Proven experience working with fast rotating machinery
• •Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
