Anforderungen

  • •Master’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences or similar)
  • •5 years of professional experience in public and funded research projects, product quality, product lifecycle, development, reliability, and methods for control, testing, and analysis
  • •Experience in project management, ideally of funded research projects
  • •Experience in leading research teams and supervising students
  • •Experience in mentoring and teaching technical knowledge to colleagues
  • •Knowledge of a programming language (e.g. Python) and Microsoft applications
  • •High analytical skills in solving complex problems
  • •Structured and result-oriented working style, awareness for costs, time planning, and quality in projects, passion for new technologies
  • •Ability to work in a team with internal/external and interdisciplinary teams
  • •Business fluent in German and English
  • •Experience in the manufacturing sector, design for manufacturing, especially in Electronics or Automotive sector
  • •Experience in Six Sigma (Black Belt), data science, simulation, and/or machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI/ML) applications
  • •Experience in publishing research results and presenting for an international audience
  • •Willingness to travel within Germany & internationally on demand (around 10-20%)

  • •Lead and propose research projects
  • •Support optimization of existing workflows
  • •Identify topics for national and international research funding
  • •Calculate return on investment for research topics
  • •Facilitate the transformation to sustainable product development
  • •Communicate with potential partners for proposals
  • •Manage the proposal process independently
  • •Coordinate with team members and external partners on research projects
  • •Solve complex research and technical problems independently
  • •Interact with internal resources for public funded projects
  • •Handle research-oriented work packages
  • •Report and present project status to management and stakeholders
  • •Evaluate completed projects for knowledge gain and economic value
  • •Implement projects in line with Automotive HARMAN strategy
  • •Track project progress and identify further potentials
  • •Establish a network with research institutes and universities
  • •Scout technology trends and assess their readiness
  • •Collaborate globally with internal stakeholders
  • •Plan technology events to present research results
  • •Improve and streamline workflows within the team
