Anforderungen
- •Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering or related area
- •At least 15 years of professional experience in relevant fields of aircraft development
- •Proven disciplinary leadership experience of at least 10 years in a similar area
- •Wide proficiency of latest certification requirements and aircraft system design approaches
- •Proven background in new aircraft development or aircraft maintenance for at least 2 different aircraft programs
- •Excellent knowledge of air legislation, quality management, configuration management, and safety aspects for new aircraft development
- •Confirmed experience in strategy and organization development
- •Strong team building and motivation skills
- •Clear focus on people development and coaching
- •Confirmed leadership skills of multi-cultural teams

Deine Aufgaben
- •Develop and lead the Mechanical Systems department
- •Disciplinarily lead a team of 20 engineers
- •Develop and implement departmental strategy aligned with company and directorate targets
- •Identify internal and external competence needs and select strategic engineering service providers and subcontractors
- •Define departmental sub-structures, including roles and responsibilities
- •Perform regular workforce and workload planning based on program and project needs
- •Adjust workforce in accordance with agreed headcount targets
- •Plan all program and project deliverables and reassign workforce as needed to ensure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery
- •Monitor work progress using KPIs and manage risks with appropriate mitigation plans
- •Identify and develop high potentials for future management and expert positions in collaboration with HRBP
- •Ensure adequate training for all engineers to meet program and project milestones
- •Nominate a sufficient number of CVEs for all ATA chapters within the department in alignment with Airworthiness
- •Act as a coach for high potentials and assign mentors to new engineers
- •Define a training curriculum for new engineers in the department
- •Define development processes and procedures for aircraft mechanical systems as required by authorities and legislation
- •Maintain and update development processes and procedures in line with evolving certification standards
- •Identify and drive opportunities for digitalization and automation of development processes, methods, and tools in collaboration with the Digitalization directorate
