Anforderungen

  • •Design, implementation, and testing of complex software systems
  • •Usage of modern web tools and software development infrastructure and tools
  • •PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL database development and administration
  • •Modern programming languages and tools: Python, Django, Vue, PHP, Java, JSP
  • •Providing direct support to end users
  • •Administration of databases
  • •Full-stack software development
  • •Basic Linux administration knowledge
  • •Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French
  • •Nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
  • •Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Computer Science or related field
  • •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
  • •University degree required
  • •PhD not eligible

Deine Aufgaben

  • •Contribute to software design and development
  • •Maintain software systems for the CMS experiment
  • •Support users by resolving issues promptly
  • •Deliver new features as resources allow
  • •Assist in transitioning to the PHP/Python/Django/Vue-based system
  • •Collaborate with physicists and computing specialists on requirements
  • •Lead development of the 'Incubator' module for CMS features
  • •Enhance documentation for both old and new CMS software
