Anforderungen
- •Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation
- •Assembly and testing of high- and low-voltage connectors and cables
- •Assembly and testing of control chassis
- •Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits
- •Basic programming skills (PLC, LabVIEW, Python)
- •Proficiency with Altium Designer and Microsoft Office
- •Spoken and written English or French
- •National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- •Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation
- •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- •No Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree eligibility
- •Work in Radiation Areas
- •Interventions in underground installations
- •A valid driving licence
- •Exposure to electromagnetic fields under certain conditions
- •Medical clearance required before contract offer

- •Upgrade vacuum control systems
- •Maintain vacuum control systems
- •Perform reception tests of control equipment and cables
- •Install control equipment and cables in racks
- •Uninstall control equipment and cables in accelerator tunnels
- •Disassemble vacuum control systems at LHC Point 1
- •Reassemble vacuum control systems at LHC Point 5
- •Install radiation-tolerant electronics in LHC arcs
- •Install new controllers at LHC points
- •Test control equipment
- •Commission control equipment
- •Calibrate controllers and electronics
- •Perform insulation tests on cables
- •Validate measurement chains and interlocks
- •Validate alarm systems
- •Produce technical documentation
- •Update technical documentation
