Systems Administrator C2(m/w/x)

Description

You will ensure the high availability of critical C2 mission systems in Germany by managing virtual infrastructure, automating deployments, and providing expert Linux-based technical support.

• •Adjudicated Top Secret with SCI
• •BA/BS and 5 years experience
• •DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II Certification
• •SCSA, OCA, CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, VCP6-DCV, MCP, or TESA eligibility
• •Desirable ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation
• •Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• •Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl
• •Experience with GCCS or DCGS systems
• •Desirable CCNP Data Center
• •Experience deploying Cisco ACI and HCI
• •Knowledge of Software Defined Networking
• •Automation using PowerShell, VBScript, or batch
• •Experience with SCCM, Exchange, or SharePoint
• •Adaptability to changing operational needs
• •Experience with DoD IT security requirements
• •Understanding of DoD Military standards

Tasks

• •Maintain Global Command and Control Systems - Joint (GCCS-J)
• •Integrate applications with directory services
• •Provision hypervisors and storage for virtual infrastructure
• •Automate guest operating system and application provisioning
• •Document configuration items in version control systems
• •Interface with ECJ3 and ECJ2 customers
• •Monitor system performance and establish baselines
• •Develop policies for computing resource allocation
• •Recommend hardware and software purchases
• •Perform and test regular system backups
• •Create automation playbooks for C2 infrastructure
• •Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot software applications
• •Integrate changes into CI/CD pipelines
• •Manage user accounts and access controls
• •Maintain application and database services on Linux servers
• •Manage Red Hat storage and virtualization technologies
• •Patch content hosts using Red Hat Satellite 6
• •Monitor infrastructure using ELK and Ansible Tower
• •Perform root cause analysis for system problems
• •Verify hardware integrity and server resource availability
• •Ensure Common Operational Picture availability to customers
• •Maintain Oracle, Sybase, and PostgreSQL database instances
• •Perform STIG validation against systems and databases
• •Resolve service requests via trouble ticketing systems
• •Produce and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
• •Maintain Red Hat JBoss application servers
• •Troubleshoot RHEL and CentOS operating system issues
• •Provide remote support and travel to customer sites
