1. Introduction
Hello and welcome to Nejo! These terms of service form the basis for your use of our services. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. Last updated: March 16, 2026
In a nutshell:
- These terms of service govern the entire relationship between Nejo FlexCo (referred to as "Nejo") and you as a job seeker.
- They apply to our website https://mynejo.com and all platforms and services operated by Nejo FlexCo.
- Using Nejo is not possible without agreeing to these terms of service.
- Nejo is intended exclusively for persons aged 15 and over.
Are you a company using our business products? In that case, our separate business terms apply, which we will provide to you when entering into the agreement.
2. Using Nejo
You can find all our offerings on our website. Without registering, you can:
- Search for jobs: Find suitable job listings easily using keywords and filters.
- Apply: Apply directly for interesting jobs. Please note that you will need to enter your details for each application.
- Stay informed: Access useful career tips and professional development resources on our blog.
Personal use only
You may only use the information on our website for your personal job search and private use. Automated scraping of our platform (for example through bots or scraping tools) is not permitted. This also applies to automated or bulk usage via third-party platforms or AI interfaces. This prohibition does not apply to the intended use via third-party platforms authorized by Nejo in accordance with Section 8.
3. Where Our Job Listings Come From
We want you to know how job listings end up on Nejo.
- Third-party listings: The jobs on Nejo come from various companies, not from us.
- Automated collection of job postings: The Nejo web crawler collects job listings directly from employer websites.
- Selection of listings: We do not necessarily show all job listings available on the market, although we continuously strive to increase the number of job postings on Nejo.
- No control over content: We have no influence over the exact content of the original listings or the conditions set by employers.
- No guarantee: We cannot guarantee that all information in the listings is complete, accurate, or legally sound.
- Your due diligence: Please review the content carefully before applying — it is your responsibility to evaluate the job offers.

AI Processing of Job Listings
We use artificial intelligence to automatically summarize job listings and clearly present key information such as salary, benefits, responsibilities, and requirements.
- Possible inaccuracies: AI summaries are not perfect — they may contain errors or omit information. The displayed content may differ from the original listing.
- Check original listings: We always link to the original job posting. It is important that you read it thoroughly before applying.
- No liability: We accept no responsibility for damages that may arise from relying solely on our AI summaries.
4. Profile Creation and Account Data
Creating a profile on Nejo is voluntary. You can delete your profile completely at any time in your account settings.
4.1 What Data Do We Collect During Registration?
When creating your Nejo profile, we only collect the most essential information:
Required information
- Email address: For login, communication, and job notifications
- Name: For personal addressing and profile identification
Optional information
- Additional profile information that you add yourself, for example manually or through the "Resume-Based Search" or "Apply with Resume" features.
4.2 Retention Period
Active profiles:
Your profile data remains stored as long as you actively use your account or until you delete it through your account settings.
Inactive profiles:
- After 24 months of complete inactivity (no login, no email interaction), you will receive a reminder.
- 6 months after the reminder, we automatically delete your profile if you have not responded.
- You can delete your profile yourself at any time through your profile settings.
What counts as "inactivity"?
- No login to your profile
- No opens or clicks in our emails
- No use of our services

5. Email Communication
In addition to purely technical system messages (e.g. password reset, registration confirmation), we send you the following types of emails:
5.1 Service Emails
When you create a Nejo account, we send you emails about services similar to those you already use. These service emails include:
- Onboarding emails: Information and tips for getting the most out of your Nejo account after registration.
- Similar Jobs: Automatic job recommendations based on your search behavior, saved search criteria, or profile information (e.g. skills, work experience, preferred location).
- Job Agent: You can set up personalized job notifications — with your own search criteria, preferred regions, and desired frequency. The Job Agent regularly sends you matching job listings by email.
Key points about service emails:
- Enabled by default — Service emails are automatically sent to all registered users.
- Easy to unsubscribe — Click the unsubscribe link in any email or go to your profile settings.
- EU servers — Your email data stays in the EU.
5.2 Marketing Emails
You can also opt in to marketing emails. These are only sent with your explicit consent and include, for example, career tips, re-engagement emails, and Nejo updates.
- Consent required — You only receive marketing emails if you actively agree (during registration or in your profile settings).
- Revocable at any time — Click the unsubscribe link in the email or go to your profile settings.
5.3 Technical Notes on Email Delivery
- We cannot guarantee that all emails will reach your inbox (spam filters, server issues, etc.).
- Technical delays in delivery are possible.
- Our emails contain tracking pixels for statistical analysis (opens, clicks) to help optimize our emails.
5.4 Quality of Job Suggestions
We cannot guarantee that all matching jobs are included in email notifications. The quality of job suggestions depends on your search behavior, profile information, and available job listings. We recommend supplementing email notifications with regular manual searches on the platform.

6. Job Search with AI Chat
The AI Chat search is the default search function on Nejo. You can describe your professional preferences in a chat conversation with our AI assistant and receive matching job suggestions based on your input.
- Do not share personally identifying information: We never ask for your name, age, nationality, or similar details. Please do not proactively share such information with the chat.
- AI suggestions as a supplement: The suggestions are based on your inputs and available job listings — they are not always perfect and represent recommendations only.
- Your data is protected: Your chat content is not used to train AI models and is not shared with third parties.
7. Resume-Based Search and 1-Click Apply
With the "Resume-Based Search" feature, we offer you the ability to find matching job listings based on your uploaded resume. This uses modern AI technology that analyzes your resume and matches it with job offers available on Nejo. The goal is to provide you with particularly relevant and personalized suggestions.
7.1 Your Consent
Using the "Resume-Based Search" feature is voluntary and requires your explicit consent. Before your first use, you will be asked for separate approval. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future — directly in your profile settings or by contacting us at hi@mynejo.com.
7.2 What Happens with Your Resume?
- Your resume is automatically analyzed to extract structured information — such as your professional career, education, skills, language skills, IT knowledge, project or industry experience, and your place of residence (if provided).
- If included in your resume, personal data such as name, phone number, nationality, date of birth, and address is also captured. This information is stored securely in your profile exclusively so you can apply for jobs on Nejo with a single click in the future.
- The extracted information is used to show you personalized job suggestions.
- Your resume is not used to train AI models.
- You can stop the upload and processing at any time and delete your data.
Important
Information such as gender, nationality, date of birth, or address is NOT used for determining matching job suggestions.
7.3 Retention Period
You can delete your data at any time through your profile settings on Nejo. All personal data will then be immediately and permanently deleted. Even if you do not withdraw your consent, we only store your data for a limited maximum period:
- Raw CV data: 12 months after last use of the CV search feature
- Extracted profile data: 18 months after last use of the CV search feature
- Anonymized data: Unlimited (as personal identification is no longer possible)
Retention periods restart each time you use the CV search feature.
8. Use via Third-Party Platforms (e.g. ChatGPT)
Nejo can also be used via third-party platforms, such as AI platforms like ChatGPT. In this case, Nejo is provided as an external service within the respective platform. When using Nejo via third-party platforms:
- usage occurs without creating a Nejo user account,
- there is no link to an existing Nejo profile,
- and no separate contractual relationship is established between you and Nejo beyond the third-party platform.
Nejo exclusively provides content-based results (e.g. job suggestions or information) through the third-party platform. The use of the third-party platform itself is subject to the respective terms of service and privacy policy of the platform provider. Nejo has no influence over the availability or data processing of the third-party platform and is not responsible for it.
9. AI Transparency and Fairness
Our AI-powered features (AI Chat and Resume-Based Search) are subject to strict quality and fairness standards.
9.1 AI System Classification
Our CV analysis system and the AI Chat search could potentially be classified as high-risk AI systems under the EU AI Act (Annex III, Point 4(a)), as they are used in the area of recruitment and selection of persons. Regardless of the final classification, Nejo FlexCo already aligns with the requirements of the EU AI Act. As the provider of these AI systems, Nejo FlexCo, Meldemannstraße 18, 1200 Vienna, is responsible.
9.2 Discrimination Protection
- Exclusion of protected characteristics: Gender, nationality, date of birth, and address are never factored into our job recommendations.
- No proactive collection of protected characteristics: We never ask for your gender, nationality, date of birth, age, or address.
- Continuous bias monitoring: Regular review of algorithms for unconscious biases.
- Diverse training data: Use of representative, synthetically generated data from various demographics and career paths.
- Transparent matching criteria: Focus exclusively on professional qualifications, skills, and experience.
9.3 Data Protection for AI Features
- Your data is not used to train AI models.
- All processing takes place on servers within the EU.
- No fully automated decisions with legal effect are made — the final job choice is always yours.
9.4 System Accuracy and Limitations
- The system may be less precise for highly specialized or new fields of work.
- Career changes or lateral moves may not be optimally recognized.
- The quality of suggestions depends on the completeness and structure of your CV or the information provided in the AI Chat.
Information such as gender, nationality, or date of birth does not factor into the matching. No rejection or evaluation of you as a person takes place.
Important
Our AI job suggestions are intended as a supplement to your own job search, not as a replacement. We expressly recommend that you also continue to use the standard search function and actively look for jobs that interest you.
9.5 Human Oversight and Right to Complain
Our AI system is subject to continuous human oversight. If you experience any problems or have complaints regarding AI-powered job suggestions, you can contact us at any time. You have the right to request a human review of your AI job recommendations. Please direct your request to hi@mynejo.com. We will review your concern within 14 days and inform you of the outcome in writing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide you with a better experience on our platform.

11. Liability
11.1 Platform Availability
We do our best to make Nejo available to you at all times:
- We strive to provide the platform without interruptions.
- Occasional brief maintenance may be necessary, which we will announce in advance when possible.
- We keep any downtime as short as possible.
11.2 Third-Party Content
- Nejo is not responsible for the content of job listings, as these are aggregated from third parties (employers).
- As a job seeker, you are responsible for reviewing the listings before applying.
- We cannot be held responsible for requirements or conditions set by employers.
- In rare cases, companies may share questionable or even unlawful content. We distance ourselves from such content and are not directly responsible as a platform.
- Please use the "Report Job" feature, which you can find in the detail view of every job listing. Our moderation team reviews reported content within 14 days and removes problematic content promptly.
11.3 AI-Powered Features
- We accept no liability for the accuracy, completeness, or relevance of AI-generated job suggestions — whether from the AI Chat search, the Resume-Based Search, or AI summaries of job postings.
- The analysis and job recommendations are automated and may contain errors or generate unsuitable suggestions.
- We are not liable for missed job opportunities that did not appear in our AI recommendations.
- You are responsible for evaluating the suggested jobs for suitability and for not relying exclusively on our AI recommendations for your job search.
- The final decision on applications is always yours — our system does not make automated decisions with legal effect.
- The information provided does not constitute legal, professional, or any other binding advice.
11.4 Limits of Our Responsibility
- We cannot influence whether a company processes your application or contacts you.
- We have no influence over whether your job search results in a new position.
- Nejo is not liable for the information you provide in applications.
- We are not liable for claims or disadvantages arising in connection with the information you have provided.
11.5 Limitation of Liability
- Nejo is only liable in cases of intent or gross negligence. This exclusion does not apply to liability for damages arising from the breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations); in such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages.
- Exceptions apply for personal injury and liability under the Product Liability Act.
- No claims can be made against us for platform interruptions.
12. Changes to the Terms of Service
If we change these terms of service and you have an active Nejo account, we will notify you by email. We will inform you in a timely manner of the exact date when the amended terms of service take effect.
- After notification, you have 2 months to object to the changes.
- If you continue to use Nejo after the expiry of these 2 months, this constitutes acceptance of the amended terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you can delete your account at any time. Your objection to the changes must be made in writing — an email to hi@mynejo.com is sufficient.
- In our notification, we will inform you that continued use after the deadline constitutes acceptance.
What areas cannot be changed?
Not all parts of our terms of service can be changed in this way. The fundamental contractual obligations remain unchanged, including:
- The basic free-of-charge nature of our service
- The principles of data protection
Technical adjustments, such as those related to cookies, can however be updated in this way.
13. Intellectual Property and Legal Information
Copyright
All rights to the provided software, content, and features belong to Nejo. You may only use these within the permitted scope and may not copy, modify, or redistribute them. All data you upload or enter (e.g. resume, profile information) remains your property. You grant Nejo a limited, non-exclusive license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing our services. This license expires upon deletion of your account.

Legal Framework
- Applicable law: Austrian law applies.
- Jurisdiction: In the event of legal disputes, the Commercial Court of Vienna has jurisdiction.
Severability Clause
If any provision of these Terms of Service is or becomes invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
