Strategic Planner/Analyst(m/w/x)
Developing and assessing AFRICOM Theater Strategy and Campaign Plans at a defense contractor. Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance essential; prior AFRICOM or Service Component experience preferred. Flexible time off benefit.
Requirements
- Active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Master's degree and 3 years experience, Bachelor's and 6 years, or 10 years experience
- Experience developing command policy and strategy
- Exceptional reading, writing, and communication skills
- Prior experience at AFRICOM or Service Components
- Experience with Department of War or Joint Staff
- Understanding of Joint Strategic Planning System
- Knowledge of Security Cooperation guiding directives
- Basic Strategic Art Program or similar training
- Experience working with USG interagency departments
- Experience supporting high-level engagements and conferences
Tasks
- Develop and integrate the AFRICOM Theater Strategy
- Advance and assess the AFRICOM Campaign Plan
- Analyze high-level policy and strategic guidance
- Support the development of Commander's Estimates
- Maintain AFRICOM Consolidated Strategic Opportunities
- Create content for high-level strategic forums
- Draft white papers and research documents
- Prepare talking points and executive summaries
- Develop briefings and official memorandums
- Coordinate with General and Flag Officers
- Draft senior-level correspondence for diverse stakeholders
- Communicate priorities to Congress and interagency partners
- Support operational and institutional campaign planning
- Manage both classified and unclassified work streams
