Requirements
- •U.S. Citizenship
- •Secret Clearance, Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain clearance
- •Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
- •Certification as OCS or SCS, or ATC
- •Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist
- •Maintain credentialing requirements in good standing
- •Capability to meet physical demands of training with SOF
- •Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25 kilograms
- •Minimum of five years of experience in manual therapy in sports medicine
- •Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
- •Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- •Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- •Prior military and/or SOF experience
- •Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification
- •Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan
- •Compliance with Quality Assurance plan
- •Regular and acceptable attendance
- •Completion of all required training

Tasks
- •Evaluate and treat patients with or without referrals
- •Refer patients to other POTFF staff members as needed
- •Provide neuro-musculoskeletal injury care for SOF personnel
- •Order images, laboratory tests, and pharmaceuticals
- •Perform dry needling, acupuncture, joint injections, and aspirations
- •Supervise PT Tech, PT Assistant, and/or Certified Athletic Trainer as directed
- •Participate in meetings to review patient care and identify improvement opportunities
- •Advise on Sports Medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation matters
- •Assist with administrative tasks and purchasing of supplies and equipment
- •Conduct equipment and literature reviews for current care practices
- •Provide input for database development and utilization
- •Conduct peer record reviews as directed
- •Assist in developing job descriptions and performance standards
- •Help maintain clinical practice guidelines for consistency of care
- •Contribute to short and long-term fiscal planning
- •Attend meetings with POTFF staff and medical providers as required
- •Ensure safe operation of patient care equipment
- •Participate in in-service training for HP staff
- •Attend required training and conferences for continuing education
- •Maintain compliance with local command training requirements
- •Document care in Military's Electronic Health Record as required
- •Report data as requested by HP program Manager or Coordinator
- •Utilize computers and software as required by HP program Manager or Coordinator
