- •Master of Social Work or equivalent accredited degree
- •Current unrestricted clinical license for independent practice
- •Credentialing requirements in good standing at local MTF
- •Two years peer-reviewable clinical social work experience
- •Knowledge of professional standards and ethics
- •Experience in brief behavioral interventions
- •Ability to maintain clinical practice privileges
- •Prior military or SOF experience (highly desired)
- •Experience in Government settings like DOD or VA

- •Integrate physical and psychological wellness for service members
- •Support family mental health and wellness
- •Conduct clinical interviews and behavioral assessments
- •Apply evidence-based therapies for psychological disorders
- •Diagnose and treat neuropsychological conditions
- •Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- •Deliver couple's therapy
- •Perform alcohol and drug treatment evaluations
- •Attend quality improvement and staff meetings
- •Participate in professional conferences
- •Conduct applied research and clinical investigations
- •Consult with medical personnel and legal authorities
- •Advise military commanders and school districts
- •Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- •Produce detailed evaluation and treatment reports
- •Participate in military-specific training
- •Provide clinical supervision for unlicensed providers
- •Supervise clinical trainees
- •Complete required DoD and service training
- •Contact referred patients to assess treatment adherence
- •Use validated inventories to assess symptom severity
- •Identify and solve barriers to treatment adherence
- •Educate patients on mental health conditions
- •Explain treatment regimens to patients
- •Maintain patient information in a registry
- •Update electronic medical records for physician review
- •Staff difficult cases with referring providers
- •Consult with behavioral health and psychiatry specialists
- •Perform comprehensive case management functions
