Special Operations Community Resource Coordinator(m/w/x)

Requirements
- US Citizenship
- DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
- Bachelor’s degree in education, human/social services or related field or four years’ experience
- Experience as volunteer in social service education, work/family life consultation or coordination
- Willingness to receive specialized training on peer support counseling, community resources and referrals and suicide prevention
- Current knowledge of best practices and developments in peer support counseling and suicide prevention
- Knowledge of DoD, Services and community sponsored resources for service member wellbeing
- Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan, policies and procedures
- Compliance with Quality Assurance plan, policies and procedures
- Maintain regular and acceptable attendance
- Completing all required training
- Perform other assignments and duties as required
- Prior military and/or SOF experience highly desired
Tasks
- Coordinate and develop programs for unit force and family resiliency
- Organize and oversee peer support networks for assigned commands
- Recruit and train active duty and family member peer support counselors
- Collect and report data for program evaluations
- Lead coordination and development of official processes and networking opportunities
- Establish and maintain peer counseling networks for service members and spouses
- Report network activity using specified tools and frequencies
- Conduct family orientation and information sessions
- Contribute to pre- and post-deployment preparation and reintegration
- Facilitate family relational enhancement activities
- Support unit-level career transition programs for military members and spouses
- Implement social and psychological programs, including suicide prevention
- Maintain awareness of local behavioral health and resiliency resources
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures and service protocols
- Serve as Commander’s liaison for community and family support matters
- Communicate on behalf of the Command using various media and social media
- Maintain awareness of emergency response protocols
- Identify and document program and service needs
- Develop needs-based programming for specific demographic groups and locations
