Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or comparable qualification
- Top-tier customs experience and operational oversight
- 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in HTS and ECCN classification preferred
- Technology or automotive industry experience desirable
- Experience with SAP GTS preferred
- Business judgment, creativity, and strategic implementation
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Energetic, independent thinker with leadership skills
- English and German fluency
Tasks
- Oversee compliance with German customs and trade legislation
- Manage German customs and trade operations
- Prepare customs documents for imports, exports, and special procedures
- Handle broker sourcing and account management
- Establish and update trade operations processes and procedures
- Coordinate communication with customs authorities during audits and controversies
- Develop and deliver cross-functional training to stakeholders
- Support participation in supply chain security and compliance programs
- Maintain customs records according to legal and company requirements
- Drive EMEA duty savings projects and initiatives
- Analyze import and export data for duty mitigation opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support corporate planning initiatives
