Senior Lead General Accounting(m/w/x)
Maintaining US GAAP and local ledgers for power/signal distribution systems in electrified vehicles, leading month-end close. 5+ years financial accounting experience, strong US GAAP/German accounting standards knowledge, and CPA preferred. Flexible work environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local German accounting standards
- Experience with statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
Tasks
- Maintain US GAAP and local ledgers
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and local accounting standards
- Review complex accounting transactions
- Manage statutory accounting close and reconciliations under local GAAP
- Coordinate statutory reporting calendar
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers
- Support corporate income tax provision and return preparation
- Perform transfer pricing documentation
- Coordinate legal and tax-related projects
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Create process flowcharts
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Serve as a key contact for complex accounting issues
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across various departments
- Update regulatory filings including Bundesanzeiger and Transparency Register
