Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally within CRO, CDMO, biotech service, or pre-clinical research environment
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets
  • Broad understanding of discovery and pre-clinical development process
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively (40%+)
  • Established network within biotech and/or pharmaceutical sectors
  • Experience selling complex scientific or technical services
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Relationship building and client engagement
  • Resilience, results-driven, and self-motivation
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Exceed quarterly KPIs
  • Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline
  • Develop long-term client relationships
  • Conduct capability presentations
  • Lead introductory client calls
  • Facilitate needs-assessment meetings
  • Serve as primary pre-award contact
  • Ensure seamless project handoffs
  • Manage selected client accounts
  • Encourage repeat business
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Identify upsell opportunities
  • Monitor CRO industry trends
  • Track the competitive landscape
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes
  • Understand client R&D priorities
  • Represent the organization at trade shows
