Requirements
- 15+ years of proven relationship and business development
- Quota carrying self-starter, able to grow team success
- Understanding of technology selection processes in global service providers
- Comfortable with ambiguity, seeing it as opportunity
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong strategic and business development mindset
- Deep understanding of client business and prime objectives
- Aligning client objectives with Calix's core capabilities
- Ability to leverage internal resources to achieve results
- Knowledge of networking technology competitive landscape preferred
- Understanding of service provider business models and GTM models
- In-depth understanding of cloud enabled business solutions
- Focus on Communications Service Providers
- Generalist with wide breadth of knowledge
- Knowledge of optical access networks, cloud and premise systems
- Knowledge of wireless gateways
- Knowledge of WiFi technology, concepts and terms preferred
- Familiarity with micro-services delivery or container management preferred
- Understanding of Customer Experience Management for broadband providers
- Knowledge of Telecom and IT standards preferred
- Track record of over-achieving targets
- Experience managing sales cycle from business champion to C-suite
- Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles
- Ownership of all aspects of territory management
- Competitive, cooperative, collaborative
- Work well with customers, internal and external
- Strong computer skills
- Selling experience to Global Service Providers in region highly required
- Negotiating and closing large SaaS TCV contracts for managed services
- Previous Sales Methodology training
- CRM experience
- Strong customer references
- Master’s degree preferred
