- People management or leadership experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Leadership skills to manage, motivate, inspire team
- Financial acumen, incl. forecasting, budget setting, analysis
- Passion for continuous improvement, entrepreneurial, creative mindset
- Project management and strategy implementation expertise
- Reliable, proactive, problem-solving attitude, organizational skills
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective communication
- Excellent English knowledge
- Knowledge of additional languages is an asset

- Lead and manage AO congress organization
- Drive event innovation for congresses
- Ensure congress and event compliance
- Plan congresses and events from A-Z
- Manage congress logistics
- Oversee congress promotion
- Secure congress sponsorship
- Manage congress abstract submissions
- Establish performance evaluation for congresses
- Analyze congress participant statistics
- Supervise AO leadership in event planning
- Work with professional congress organizations
- Manage development of AO journals
- Manage publishing of AO journals
- Secure stable journal logistics
- Provide journal administrative support
- Promote AO journals
- Collaborate with Publishing Editors
- Work with internal stakeholders
- Work with external stakeholders
- Collaborate with partners and suppliers
- Monitor costs with partners
- Monitor budgets with partners
- Negotiate contracts with partners
- Manage a team
- Manage AO congress organization (GSC, FA)
- Manage AO journals (GSJ, CMTR, Surgical Insights)
