# Working Student Commodity Flow Desk Data Analyst d/f/m Location(s): Essen, NW, DE, 45141 **RWE Supply & Trading GmbH** **To start as soon as possible, part time (max. 20 hours / week), fixed term (6-12 months)** Our Sales unit Commodity Solutions is our growing large customer unit. Within our Sales Unit the Commodity Flow desk (CFD) provides wholesale market access to different client sectors. The CFD acts as a professional cross-commodity hub for external counterparties with relevant energy exposures as well as a central interface for other customer services to green up the flow business (e.g. GoOs, EUAs and VERs). To complement the broad skill-set of our team we are looking for a Data Analyst to support the CFD-Business in terms of IT-specific operations. **About the role** * Development of innovative infrastructure and platform solutions to analyse the customer and product portfolio. * Implementing cloud-based solutions based on AWS and deployment of pipelines (EC2, S3, VPC) & Azure. * Designing, deploying, and optimizing Docker containers for scalable, portable applications within cloud environments. * Developing backend services in C#, connecting APIs in Python. * Supporting the sales trading by enhancing our counterparty dashboard. * Using data science to support commercial analysis and trading decisions. * Collecting and analyzing market feedback from customers and competitors to steer the business tactically and operationally and implement models based on client’s needs. **Job requirements and experience** * You are an enrolled student and are interested in IT-Architecture in a commodity trading environment. * In-depth programming knowledge in Python, C#, Angular & VBA. * Experience with cloud technologies and concepts. * Commercially driven, entrepreneurial and pro-active mind-set, combined with an ability to build effective working relationships. * You have excellent communication skills with the ability to transfer knowledge between analysis and decision makers into other departments with an interdisciplinary approach both in German and English. * You have a high level of self-motivation, creativity and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to work in a competitive environment.
