Original Beschreibung

At the **Institute for Theoretical Physics**, TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders) limited to expected 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: September 2025. **Aufgaben** * Theoretical research in quantum magnonics and quantum optics, in particular on the development of analytical and numerical tools to describe magnetization dynamics in nanostructures in the quantum regime, and methods to prepare and detect quantum magnonic states * Writing and publishing of a dissertation and scientific articles * Participation in: * research and project activities * scientific events * teaching activities and exams * supervision and work with students * organizational and administrative tasks **Ihr Profil** * Completion of a bachelor and master in physics, with specialization in quantum theory * Advanced mathematical skills, if possible, by completion of a bachelors in mathematics. Specific knowledge in mathematical statistical physics is a plus. * Prior experience in theory and simulation of open quantum systems, including systems beyond the Markovian regime and/or coupled to structured reservoirs * Interdisciplinary background with work developed at the intersection between different research fields.
