## Job Description
**Role purpose:**
As a Trainee in Analytical Chemistry you will be responsible to plan, conduct and analyze experiments (including seed treatment, wet chemistry and analytical chemistry) to provide SCI the basis to define and understand the scope of analytical methods used for AI loading analysis in global SCI network.
**Accountabilities:**
* Planning and designing complex multifactorial experiments, which need to meet practical feasibility when conducted
* Conducting wet chemistry experiments, e.g. involving treated seed and seed treatment products
* Conducting seed treatments at small scale independently after proper training
* Preparing samples for UPLC-DAD analysis following the standards of the designated analytical lab within Stein R&D site
* Operating UPLC-instruments and running analyses as instructed by local lab experts and contributing to instrument monitoring and technical troubleshooting
* Accessing, processing and analyzing UPLC-DAD raw data using existing scripts
* Extending analysis methods as required with the help of the Team Leader
* Documenting and reporting findings in a professional manner
