Anforderungen
- •10+ years of experience with German/EU export control law
- •Completion of university studies
- •Authorization to work with unclassified German/EU export-controlled technology
- •Professional working proficiency in German and English
- •Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- •Advanced analytical skills
- •Experience reading and interpreting complex trade regulations
- •Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- •Technical proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- •Ability to adapt style and use persuasion
- •Business acumen with ability to navigate business processes
- •Ability to frequently advise others on complex matters
- •Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- •Experience serving as Chief Export Control Officer
- •Subject matter expert in German trade law
- •Trade compliance certifications or legal/paralegal experience
- •Experience implementing internal compliance program
- •Experience ensuring compliance with sanctions and anti-bribery laws
- •Experience working with engineers or in a technical/aerospace environment
- •Experience of working in a dynamic, startup environment

Deine Aufgaben
- •Serve as a trusted advisor on trade compliance
- •Implement an effective Internal Compliance Programme aligned with BAFA and EU-Commission expectations
- •Ensure compliance with national and EU export control laws and regulations
- •Maintain registration in the ELAN-K2 portal
- •Prepare and submit applications for individual and global authorizations
- •Oversee compliant use of German or EU General Authorizations
- •Manage the lifecycle of German/EU authorizations
- •Analyze and document classification analysis for Planet products and services
- •Make licensing determinations to support business operations
- •Consult with the US ITC team on U.S. re-export controls
- •Advise on international trade compliance requirements
- •Develop strategic compliance plans to meet business objectives
- •Interface with outside counsel on global trade controls
- •Engage with German and EU governmental bodies on trade compliance initiatives
- •Review and guide on compliance terms in proposals and contracts
- •Prepare and file compliance requests with German/EU authorities
- •Review visitor requests for compliance adherence
- •Develop technology control plans for compliant operations
- •Conduct compliance training for employees
- •Manage compliance review process for international shipments
- •Draft filings for government agencies, including license applications
- •Ensure compliance with international trade laws, sanctions, and anti-corruption requirements
- •Monitor updates to export control regulations and ensure internal processes are updated
- •Maintain record retention in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements
- •Identify risk areas and conduct compliance audits
- •Conduct compliance investigations and draft summaries of findings
