# Thesis (B/M): Oxyfuel combustion and capture of CO2
In our Clean Combustion and Process Heat department, we deal with low-emission combustion processes and process heat. One of our topics is oxyfuel combustion, in which pure oxygen is used as an O2 source instead of normal ambient air.
With the oxyfuel combustion of biogenic gases can achieve efficient CO2 capture from flue gases and thus provide potential CO2-negative process heat.
**What you will do**
* Application-oriented research work in the field of oxyfuel combustion and CO2 capture
* Identification of suitable sites where an oxyfuel combustion plant can be implemented
* Carrying out site analyses
* Preparation of energy and material balances
* Research work
**What you bring to the table**
must have:
* Degree in process engineering, energy technology, environmental technology, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study
* Ability to work independently
nice to have:
* Knowledge of German is an advantage, but not necessary. Fluency in English is sufficient for successful internal communication
**What you can expect**
* As part of a dynamic team, you actively drive sustainable solutions for a resource-efficient future
* Opportunity to combine your knowledge from your studies with practical experience at the interface between business and science and to integrate your own ideas
* New Work, diversity and cooperative interaction are important components of our strategic orientation
* Flexible working hours - we know that your studies come first
* Flexible work locations that fit your studies - mobile work and on-site work are combined as needed
