# Team Leader Fungicide Chemistry, Drug Discovery Expert (m/f/d) ## WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT In our Fungicide Chemistry team you work on inventing innovative and sustainable crop protection active ingredients and solutions designed to meet farmers’ needs. From day one, you join a diverse, international and multi-disciplinary team, composed of experts and young talents, all engaged in addressing challenging and exciting scientific targets. * In your new role, your responsibilities include the identification and design of biologically active ingredients, their synthesis, the analysis and interpretation of their performance, intrinsic properties and safety profile. * Using structure-activity relationships and rational design, you drive multiparameter optimizations, applying medicinal chemistry concepts at the interface of fungi and plants. * With your work you navigate at the frontiers of chemistry, modeling, biology, agronomy, product safety and intellectual property. * You have leadership and EHS responsibilities for your lab team, bring your expertise in scientific projects, and mentor colleagues. * You work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborate with a broad range of experts at BASF and expand your knowhow.
