Anforderungen
- •Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or MBA (or equivalent)
- •5+ years of experience in a complex Royalty organization
- •2 years of team lead experience
- •Strong knowledge of royalty accounting and core accounting principles
- •Proven contract interpretation of royalty conditions, tiering/escalators, bundles, and usage-based royalty models
- •Hands-on with royalty solutions such as Rights Line, Vista Royalties, Virtusales, Vistex, and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle
- •Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- •Process owner mindset with continuous improvement focus
- •Operational hands-on experience with allocation logic and scenario testing
- •Analytics skills for identifying bottlenecks and performing root cause analysis
- •People management skills including coaching and team guidance
- •Technical capability to meet job requirements and manage workload
- •Customer focus with relationship nurturing skills
- •Relationship building and teamwork skills

Deine Aufgaben
- •Manage end-to-end royalty operations for book series and legacy entities
- •Maintain databases of series editor obligations and contract types
- •Review and process contracts in the royalty system
- •Release payments before due dates
- •Recommend payment policy changes based on data analysis
- •Oversee and approve first-level payment entries for fixed fee agreements
- •Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- •Partner with IT on system fixes and enhancements
- •Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- •Ensure timely contract processing and validate royalty conditions
- •Run and validate royalty calculations, including recoupments
- •Oversee creation and submission of royalty statements
- •Resolve queries from authors and internal stakeholders
- •Lead design and evaluation of new royalty models for sales distribution
- •Own package calculation models and allocation rules
- •Define requirements and document assumptions for new royalty models
- •Configure rules in the royalty system for automatic calculations
- •Monitor variances between expected and actual allocations
- •Prepare materials for internal and external audits
- •Implement and track remediation actions from audit outcomes
- •Monitor performance and drive corrective actions
- •Maintain monthly royalty KPIs and dashboards
- •Support finance with accruals and reconcile sales interfaces
- •Report on recoupment progress and outstanding balances
- •Lead direct reports managing non-emerging entities
- •Act as deputy for the manager of Global Royalty Operations
- •Build strong relationships with various departments including Finance and Legal
