Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee tax compliance and planning for our German operations, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.

  • Provide strategic tax advice on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.

  • Analyze and interpret new tax legislation and its impact on the company's operations.

  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and represent the company in tax audits and disputes.

  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and provisioning.

  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and other tax filings.

  • Identify and implement tax optimization strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities within legal boundaries.

  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly those affecting the company's operations in Germany and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related field.

  • Professional tax qualification (e.g. Steuerberater).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate taxation

  • In-depth knowledge of German tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and transfer pricing.

  • Strong understanding of international tax principles and cross-border transactions.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office applications.

  • Requirement for R&D preferable

  • In House tax experience preferable
