# System Administrator **Bad Homburg** | **Full time** | **Onsite** **Job Title** System Administrator **What does a successful System Administrator do?** The system administrator Poseidon is holistically responsible for our network operations application Poseidon. Based on OLTP, Poseidon serves as the central interface between terminals and Girocard issuers (head offices) and credit card acquirers and supports our NSP business as a routing and clearing system. **What you will do:** * Administration and ensuring the operation of the Poseidon application * Definition, planning, and testing of application extensions and updates, including documentation * Management of system events and troubleshooting * Continuous monitoring and optimization of performance * Participation in projects (implementation of compliance requirements, cloud migrations, database implementations of new solutions) * Setup, configuration, and cyclical testing of the DR solution * Support and communication with our internal and external customers/interfaces * Updating and documentation of ZKA keys * Organization and support of ITIL processes change/problem/incident management **What you will need to have:** * Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification * Several years of experience as a system administrator, preferably in transaction processing * Ideally, experience with technical communication protocols * Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written **What would be great to have:** * Knowledge of a programming language (Java) is an advantage * Independent and goal-oriented work style with simultaneous team and partner orientation * High level of commitment and resilience * Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills **Was macht einen erfolgreichen Systemadministrator Poseidon aus?** Der Systemadministrator Poseidon ist ganzheitlich für unsere Netzbetriebsapplikation Poseidon verantwortlich. Basierend auf OLTP nimmt Poseidon die Funktion der zentralen Schnittstelle zwischen Terminals und Girocard-Issuern (Kopfstellen) und Kreditkarten-Acquirern ein und unterstützt als Routing- und Clearing-System unser NSP-Geschäft. **Was Sie tun werden:** * Administration und Sicherstellung des Betriebs der Poseidon-Applikation * Definition, Planung und Test von Anwendungserweiterungen und Aktualisierungen inkl.
