**Position Summary**
As **SWS Safety Specialist**, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining ISO certifications, and fostering a safety culture. You will need to engage with employees and contractors, coach supervisors, and collaborate in implementing safety programs to ensure safety through numerous initiatives.
**A Day in the Life of a SWS Safety Specialist**
* Foster a safety culture and actively engage with employees and contractors to prevent at-risk behaviors
* Collaborate on implementing best-in-class safety programs and procedures
* Provide safety expertise and partner with key functions to deliver on safety goals
* Coach and guide managers in their safety responsibilities and engage in accident management
* Assist in safety certifications and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies
* Conduct field monitoring to ensure safety compliance and provide feedback to employees
* Evaluate compliance with PPE requirements, oversee contractor trainings, and review safety paperwork
* Suggest and execute communication plans to promote safety awareness
