**Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead development activities for underperforming suppliers through the Top Focus process
* Conduct onsite assessment of potential suppliers
* Participate in supplier tech reviews
* Monitor supplier performance and identify underperforming suppliers
* Support in corrective action review for major customer events
* Participate and monitor the supplier APQP process
**Professional experience and education:**
* Degree in a technical discipline preferred
* Ability to develop suppliers to meet global OEM regulations and requirements
* Experienced in supplier evaluation and development, continuous quality improvement, and open issues management
* Solid understanding of APQP/PPAP requirements including Process Control Plan, SPC, GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA
* Certified Auditor to VDA 6.3
**Skills and competencies:**
* 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, quality preferred
* Hands on mentality with a proactive approach to identify and avoid problems in an early stage
* Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
* Strong technical, engineering and communication skills in a global automotive environment
* Solid organizational and project management skills and demonstrated effectiveness to lead and collaborate with cross functional/global teams
