To drive the smart and sustainable energy future, we are looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Staff Energy Data Analyst to lead Entrix’s analytics initiatives, shape company-wide learning from data, and contribute to the success of our core product.

##### Your Responsibilities
As a Staff Data Analyst, you will take a leading role in analytics, ensuring that Entrix uses data effectively to improve product performance, inform strategic decisions, and maintain its competitive edge. You will go beyond individual analyses to orchestrate analytics across teams, align cross-functional stakeholders, and embed a data-driven culture within the company. You are not a people manager, but you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and trusted advisor within the team, guiding others through your expertise, collaboration, and example.
Measure Product & Market Performance
* Lead in-depth analyses of trading algorithm performance, market behavior, and system optimization.
* Identify patterns, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities with measurable business impact.
* Ensure analyses consider cross-domain dependencies (e.g., market design, operations, data science) to optimize the whole product.
Strategic Analytics Partner
* Act as a trusted analytics partner to leadership, supporting strategic planning with data-driven recommendations.
* Drive high-leverage analytical initiatives that shape Entrix’s product roadmap and market positioning.
Cross-Domain Collaboration & Influence
* Align analytics efforts across teams, ensuring consistent methodologies and clear ownership.
* Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and commercial teams to prioritize high-impact questions and deliver insights that drive action.
* Resolve cross-domain analytical challenges and ensure smooth collaboration between teams.
Analytics Enablement & Organizational Learning
* Define and evolve Entrix’s analytics frameworks, KPIs, and tooling.
* Lead efforts to disseminate insights across the company, ensuring that data findings translate into learning, process improvements, and decision-making.
* Promote a learning culture by embedding analytics into Entrix’s daily operations and strategic cycles.
Customer-Facing Analytics
* Present analytical findings to external partners and customers, showcasing Entrix’s capabilities and impact.
* Tailor insights to different audiences, from technical teams to commercial stakeholders and C-level executives.
* Collaborate with customer-facing teams to ensure analytics supports business development and customer success.
Technical Mentorship & Thought Leadership (Individual Contributor role)
* Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and cross-functional peers, sharing expertise, best practices, and technical leadership.
* Support professional development of colleagues through mentoring, without formal people management responsibility.
* Champion data-driven decision-making and act as a role model individual contributor leader within the analytics team
##### Your Profile
Mandatory Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field.
* 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or researcher, ideally within energy, trading, or SaaS sectors.
* Deep expertise in energy markets and flexibility optimization.
* Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and applied statistical methods (hypothesis testing, A/B testing, time series analysis, descriptive & predictive analytics).
* Strong understanding of cloud development principles and core AWS components.
* Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional analytical projects.
* Excellent communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels (including executive and customer-facing roles).
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Skills that set you apart:
* Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
* Hands-on knowledge of trading algorithms, optimization models, or market simulations.
* Advanced data visualization capabilities (Grafana, Plotly, custom dashboards).
* Strong technical foundation in energy storage systems (especially BESS).
* Proven experience in the creation of analytical platforms in close collaboration with engineering teams.
* Familiarity with software development best practices.
This role is not a fit if...
* You are mainly experienced with no-code BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) without strong coding skills.
* You are not passionate about energy markets and their complexities.
* You are uncomfortable working with ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and evolving priorities.
