# Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA

The **Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA** will be responsible for the strategic sourcing function for Pall’s EMEA region. This role will manage Pall’s strategic sourcing team, supporting the manufacturing facilities in EMEA, as well as the region's indirect spending strategy. The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA will map out the capability, performance, risk, and desired future state to improve Pall's financial & delivery performance through negotiations, cost savings projects, value engineering, indirect savings, and robust SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) programs. In addition, the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA will be responsible for rolling out and executing the commodity strategies for the various commodities while partnering with the global commodity leaders.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sourcing, and is an onsite role located in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and part of the Global Integrated Supply Chain team.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to:**
* **Regional Strategy Development & Implementation:** Deploy and oversee the execution of Pall’s strategic sourcing policies, tools, and procedures across EMEA. Ensure alignment with sales and shipment targets, securing supplier capacity, workforce, and technology to meet current and future business needs. Develop and drive Best Cost Region/Low Cost Region strategy for EMEA region.
* **Performance Management:** Deliver on Pall’s Core Value Drivers (CVDs), including On-Time Delivery (OTD), backlog reduction, Quality Improvement Targets (QIT), cost savings through PPV/VAVE, net deflation, improved Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), and robust supply risk mitigation.
* **Team Leadership & Execution:** Lead the team to identify direct & indirect cost-saving projects to grow the funnel, manage On-Time execution of sourcing projects, drive year-over-year cost productivity, and ensure supplier quality and delivery performance. Champion initiatives to reduce supplier lead times and/or implement stocking strategies to meet market-requested lead times.
* **Supplier Relationship Management:** Oversee strategic supplier relationships across the region, including growth, maintain, transition, and exit strategies. Lead critical contract negotiations, market analysis, dual sourcing evaluations, and supplier business reviews.
* **New Product Introduction (NPI) Support:** Ensure sourcing team engagement in NPI/NPD tollgate reviews, focusing on manufacturability and material selection to optimize cost and accelerate time-to-market. Promote early supplier involvement to enhance innovation and speed.
* **Operational Excellence:** Champion the deployment of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools such as DMS, SBM, and CSFM to drive improvements in quality, delivery, and cost of procured goods.
* **People Development:** Foster a high-performance culture by leading performance and development processes for direct reports. Provide coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities to maximize team potential and engagement.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
* BS Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry sourcing experience with min. spend responsibilities over $50 Million, people management experience, and a thorough understanding and experience in sourcing processes and practices
* Proven track record in the recruitment, development and management of a sizeable strategic sourcing team.
* Hands-on experience and success in achieving net deflation and productivity, supplier performance, relationship, and risk management.
* Proven Team player in a matrix environment with influencing and change management experience.
* Knowledge of manufacturing process, strong supplier development experience, and exposure in high-mix low-volume (HMLV) environment preferred.
* Global Sourcing experience for a global multinational manufacturing company with a matrix organizational structure, with demonstrated expertise in implementing lean manufacturing principles and practices in an industrial operations environment, with a focus on sourcing and materials.
* Proven negotiation skills with demonstrated performance results. Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements, and experience utilizing electronic sourcing tools (eRFQ, eBid, eAuction, etc.). SAP experience is preferred.
**Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:**
* Flexibility to travel internationally and domestically, up to 50% of the time, to support projects, business development efforts, and global staff.
**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:**
* Global Marketplace and Commodity experience ideally in filtration and separation processes or related disciplines.
* Ability to interpret product Bill of Materials (BOM's) and Drawings. Commercial experience, including contractual documentation, within a dynamic environment.
* Experience developing business strategy and leading strategic initiatives with strong influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
