# Sr Equipment Engineer **Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland** | **Full time** | **Flexible Work Arrangement** We are seeking a skilled, experienced and motivated engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to work with the post market equipment life cycle management and maintenance programs to lead projects to improve reliability or replace manufacturing equipment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead projects to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and compliance. * Work with external equipment vendors and suppliers for new equipment procurement and qualification. * Lead equipment replacement and retrofit initiatives to optimize performance and longevity. * Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. * Coordinate cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and regulatory groups, to drive project success. * Perform equipment acquisition, characterization, installation and validation activities. * Ensure projects comply with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP) * Lead change control process Work closely with quality and regulatory teams to align validation and compliance requirements. * Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams. * Use root cause analysis tools (e.g., FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams) to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. * Lead investigations into equipment failures and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). **Qualifications:** * Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). * Several years of experience in equipment engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Experience with post-market equipment life cycle management and maintenance. * Proven experience in leading projects aimed at improving equipment reliability or replacing manufacturing equipment. * Strong understanding of equipment development and validation processes * Familiarity with change control processes and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments. * Experience in project management, including planning, executing, and closing projects. * Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance and identify areas for improvement. * Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment-related issues and implement effective solutions. * Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting project updates to stakeholders. * Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. **TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:**An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills. **DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS** **Autonomy:**Seasoned individual contributor. Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements. **Communication and Influence:**Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors. Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making. **Leadership and Talent Management:**May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product. **Required Knowledge and Experience:**Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
