#### Job Summary
This role will be responsible for planning, purchasing, and managing the direct materials required to execute the production schedule. This role will be expected to analyze inventory levels and usage to achieve optimal positions between material coverage and obsolescence risk. This role is required to collaborate with other West Facilities and Global Purchasing Groups to manage network controlled materials.
## Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Analyze production requirements to purchase raw materials in accordance to vendor arranged lead times and MOQs Complete monthly inventory counts
* Collaborate with vendors on continuous improvement initiatives (pricing, packaging, volumes, lead times, etc)
* Manage open orders to ensure on time deliveries
* Maintain material specific master data such as safety stock
* Analyze usage trends to establish optimal inventory levels and safety stocks
* Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and other West Facilities on the management of network controlled materials
* Investigate and implement corrective actions when material outages occur
* Collaborate with Site Planners to ensure production schedule changes are supported
* Support site inventory initiatives and audits when applicable
* Support production variance analysis to determine root causes of any misses
* Support Supply Chain initiatives to consume at risk material timely and according to deviation work instructions
* Participate in cost savings / Kaizen projects as applicable to operational material consumption and transactional management
* Supports plant operations outside traditional work hours while the site is running production
* Comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times
* Comply with the SOPs, as per Company policy, as relevant to the position covered by this Job Description

## Education
