Software Engineer - UI-Development C++/Qt(m/w/x)

## Job Description We are developing a unified software platform for specialized research instruments used in cancer and biomedical research. The goal is to create a smart, scalable UI that works seamlessly across various screen sizes—from compact displays to large touch panels. You will be part of a growing internal team building a modern, component-based UI system. * You will develop intuitive UIs using C++ and Qt Widgets to power scientific instruments - creating clean, responsive, and scalable interfaces with robust underlying architecture. * You will design a flexible, reusable UI framework that adapts across instruments of different sizes and functions - balancing consistency with customizability. * You will apply full-stack skills by building backend logic and services, enabling seamless communication between the UI and underlying infrastructure. * You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Software Architects to align design with business needs and technical constraints. * You will engage in full development cycles: from backlog refinement and technical planning through implementation, testing, demoing, and communicating with external stakeholders in a Scrum-based setup; you will contribute to critical business decisions, and provide input and ideas to shape the future of our global software development organization. ## Qualifications * You have completed a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, with proven expertise in C++ and Qt (Widgets). * You have a strong grasp of UI/UX design principles and the ability to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-friendly interfaces in regulated environments. * Background in medical, pharma, or biotech software development is a plus - understanding of regulated environment is helpful for the role. * You are team-oriented and have leadership traits - you're not just a coder, you guide discussions, mentor peers, and contribute conceptually. * Fluent English knowledge rounds up your profile, while German knowledge would be a plus. ## Additional Information **What we offer** * Diversity: International teams and cross-border intercultural communication * Room for creativity: It’s the most clever solution that we always strive for * Flexible work: Enable time management on your terms * Health & Sport: We offer a wide range of corporate sports activities and health provision * Miltenyi University: A clever mind never stops learning, take advantage of our inhouse Training Academy **Diversity is the bedrock of our creativity.** Our mission: To innovate treatments and technologies and tackle the world’s most serious health challenges.
