Software Engineer - C#/.NET (m/f/d) - Life Science Automation
We are looking for a **talented software engineer** passionate about creating software that changes the world! As a software engineer on the Green Button Go team, you will help with the development and deployment of Green Button Go® Software — a powerful laboratory scheduler used to control laboratory robots and automated systems — generating, testing, and deploying code. In this role, you will work with cutting-edge Life Science scheduling software, robotics, instrument drivers, big data, and analytics. A successful candidate will have a passion for good coding practices and an aptitude for solving intricate puzzles.
This position will be filled in our offices in **Freiburg** (Germany).
* Complete larger tasks / features independently.
* Review other team members’ code in a timely manner, making well-reasoned suggestions to improve
* technical correctness & cleanliness (readability, etc)
* Test your changes & assist in validating other team members’ changes
* Write unit tests when appropriate
* Provide on-call support when needed
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field
* 4+ years of professional experience in a relevant software engineering role
* Proficiency in C# or a similar object-oriented programming language
* Formal training in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
* Solid understanding of software design principles and ability to apply well-known design patterns to systems of moderate size and complexity
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is a plus
