Anforderungen
- •M.Sc. or equivalent in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or biological science
- •Software development skills in Python and familiarity with data science and geospatial Python stack
- •Open-source development practices: Git/GitHub, code review, testing, packaging, CI/CD, and documentation
- •Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- •Experience with R/Bioconductor, AnnData/SummarizedExperiment, Zarr/NGFF, or designing cross-language APIs and data schemas
- •Research experience implementing statistical learning or machine learning, ideally connected to spatial omics

Deine Aufgaben
- •Expand interoperability between scverse and R/Bioconductor ecosystems
- •Develop software focused on the OME-Zarr file format and SpatialData framework
- •Build and automate infrastructure for SpatialData interoperability across R/Python
- •Create robust converters, I/O layers, and validation tests
- •Enhance SpatialData documentation with tutorials, examples, and contributor guides
- •Contribute to the NGFF specification and support updates for NGFF 0.6/RFC-5 and RFC-8
- •Update the SpatialData codebase and contribute to the NGFF codebase
- •Engage with the scverse and NGFF communities by triaging issues and reviewing PRs
- •Collaborate in public forums and participate in cross-consortium events, sprints, and hackathons
