## Job Description The main aim of our Analysis Instruments Software Department is to enhance the understanding of nature complexity with novel analysis and visualization applications. As part of the team, you will develop innovative and highly interactive software solutions for our cutting-edge analytics application portfolio, reaching from precise and efficient analysis methodologies to sophisticated as well as highly interactive visualization concepts, that enable our customers to achieve deep and novel insights in their research. Join our Analysis Instruments Software Department as a Software Architect at our headquarters in Bergisch Gladbach. * You take technical ownership of our MACS iQ Analysis Suite, a Qt-based C++ application suite for in-depth analysis of imaging, sequencing, and flow cytometry data. * You collaborate daily as part of a cross-functional agile team—including product owners, software developers, verification, and DevOps engineers—to develop and document software concepts and architectural designs. * You leverage your deep technical understanding to drive architectural and design decisions, ensuring your guidelines are clearly communicated and consistently applied by the development team. * You work closely with product owners and verification managers to guarantee that the software meets all requirements for quality, modifiability, extensibility and security. * You contribute to continuous improvement of team performance and development processes, backed by your knowledge and experience. ## Qualifications * You hold a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification * We believe great Software Architects are also outstanding Software Engineers - we expect you to have long professional working experience as a Senior Software Developer, preferably in C++ and Qt, combined with an excellent knowledge of software architecture and design. * Your strong communication and presentation skills, an agile mindset, a solution-oriented approach and proactivity make you thrive in our environment. * Your proficient language skills in English and preferably also in German round up your profile. * Experience in the medical device industry, biotechnology, or other regulated fields—as well as familiarity with imaging, sequencing, or flow cytometry data analysis—is considered a plus for the role. ## Additional Information **What we offer** * Flexible and remote work: Enable time management on your terms * Diversity: International teams and cross-border intercultural communication * Room for creativity: It’s the most clever solution that we always strive for * Health & Sport: We offer a wide range of corporate sports activities and health provision * Miltenyi University: A clever mind never stops learning, take advantage of our inhouse Training Academy **Diversity is the bedrock of our creativity.** Our mission: To innovate treatments and technologies and tackle the world’s most serious health challenges.
