As a SHE Coordinator, your will foster a culture of safety, ensure legal compliance, and support the continuous development of safe practices across our operations. You will provide expert guidance on occupational health and safety, implement effective risk mitigation measures, and actively support our employees and managers in creating a safe and engaging work environment.
**Your mission:**
* Advise the employer and managers on all occupational safety and accident prevention matters; provide safety instruction and training to employees to raise awareness and promote safe behaviors.
* Conduct and coordinate risk assessments; develop and implement protective measures, safety concepts, and safe work processes in line with local legislation and company standards.
* Perform site inspections, equipment checks (e.g., prior to commissioning), noise measurements, and ladder inspections; ensure compliance with occupational safety, fire protection, explosion protection, and hazardous substance regulations.
* Analyse workplace accidents and conduct incident investigations; recommend and implement preventive measures and prepare relevant reports.
* Promote a positive safety culture and actively participate in safety-related meetings and activities (e.g., 4 ASA meetings per year, weekly safety tours with follow-up reporting).
* Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators; advise the business accordingly and support the preparation of monthly safety reports and presentations.
* Coordinate health & safety initiatives and Business Unit Top Risks; lead or support group- or plant-driven health and safety campaigns.
**Your profile:**
* Degree in occupational safety, engineering, environmental sciences or similar qualification/training in a technical field.
* Several years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety, ideally in an industrial or technical environment.
* Solid knowledge of applicable regulations and standards (e.g. occupational safety, fire and explosion protection, hazardous substances).
* Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations and implementation of safety measures
* Clear and confident communication skills; experience in safety training and reporting
* Proactive, structured and hands-on approach with a strong sense of responsibility
* Proficiency in German and English; confident handling of MS Office and SHE tools
