Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Munich | Full time

We are the world market leader for reusable packaging containers (RPCs) for fresh food and are constantly optimizing our products.

We help make the food supply cycle for the population more sustainable. With our RPCs, safety for food transport is improved, there is less waste of food and at the same time the lifespan of the products increases. Through our products and the need for less packaging materials we reduce the carbon footprint.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop reliable and secure software architectures for distributed cloud applications on a global scale.

  • Operate a digital platform on a modern stack with Azure Cloud and Kubernetes.

  • Participate in the DevSecOps Lifecycle.

  • Participate as a collaborative member of the Scrum team.

  • Focus on DevOps practices, including release management, security implementations, and monitoring of systems to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Support customer onboarding processes and facilitate country rollouts, ensuring business continuity and smooth transitions.

  • Provide technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement in software development processes.

  • Assist in implementing software development policies and practices within the team, focusing on scalability, security, and robustness.

We expect:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, information science, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of Java programming and web technologies.

  • Experience with DevSecOps, including release management, monitoring, and security.

  • Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-based architectures (e.g., Azure).

  • Ability to operate within an agile Scrum environment.

  • Demonstrated experience as a member of an engineering team working within agile processes.

  • Several years of experience in full-stack development with Java, including DevOps practices.

  • Proven ability to learn and understand business processes and user-journey`s as well as technologies.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
