# Senior Scientist ## Senior Scientist Art history of Central Europe with a focus on the establishment and expansion of museum collaborations (50%) 40 Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies Job vacancy starting: 10/01/2025 (MM-DD-YYYY) | Working hours:  20,00  | Classification CBA: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) Limited contract until: Job ID: **4088** ## Your personal scope of work: Your future position is at the Department of Art History, the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, a place for excellent research and teaching. Your task consists of organizing and further developing exchanges and contacts with museums and non-university research and cultural mediation institutions, as well as teaching and researching Central European art in Austria and its neighbouring countries. ## Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching, and administration: • You will establish and strengthen the Department’s relationships with various museums, non-university research and cultural mediation institutions. You will support and organize collaboration between the Department and its staff and these institutions. • You have experience in university teaching, and you will contribute scientific, museum, and curatorial knowledge to the teaching and research of art history in Austria and its historical Central European context. • You will play an active role in securing third-party funding for the Department and in implementing projects. • You will deliver teaching courses independently, particularly on topics of the art history of Austria and Central Europe, in accordance with the provisions of your contract. • You will contribute to the development of relevant interdisciplinary and practice-oriented curricula, participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance, and contribute to administrative tasks in research and teaching. ## This is part of your personality: • Successful candidates are academically distinguished and have curatorial practice. They will enhance the Department of Art History’s with museums and similar institutions, providing students with insights into museum and curatorial practices.
