## Senior Product Manager [f/m/x] (35-38.5/week) | SaaS | Remote possible ###### Permanent employee, Full or part-time ·Vienna (Headquarter),Remote Austria, Remote International --- ##### Who we are: Swat.io is a **Software-as-a-Service product** that supports marketers in **Social Media Publishing and Community Management**. We are proud to be an **independent**, **self-financed**,**product-led company**,focused on building a product that users actually love. We follow a self-service-first approach and intentionally avoid aggressive sales tactics, putting user experience and value at the center of everything we do. Today, our goal is to continue **growing sustainably** and join the top **1% of SaaS** companies with over **€10 million in ARR**. We want to create a **meaningful impact** for our customers, team, and company, becoming an **integral part of our customers’ daily workflow**. Guided by our core values—we add value, we drive progress, we own it, we thrive together — we prioritize **quality over quantity**. We focus on **exceptional talent** and a **collaborative**, **supportive** culture, believing that **revenue follows quality**, not the other way around. At Swat.io, we're a team of **50 people** with diverse backgrounds. We focus on staying **lean and agile**, and we’re looking for makers who thrive in this kind of environment. ##### Who you are: You’ll join our **Product Team** and will be working side-by-side with experienced **UX/UI designers** and another **Senior Product Manager** we’re currently hiring. You have a strong **user-first mindset** and are always **asking *why* before jumping into *what****.*You’re quick to **adapt**, **confident in making decisions** without all the answers, and **driven by impact**rather than process for the sake of it. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our product continues to excel by **understanding user needs**, bringing a **strong understanding of how to shape meaningful AI functionality**, and **collaborating with our developers** to build valuable features. You care deeply about **user experience, challenge assumptions** when needed, and know how to **move things forward** without getting stuck in the details. A **technical mindset** and **strong opinions**help you hold your ground while staying open to better ways of doing things. **Who you are not:** This isn’t a role for someone early in their product career or looking to move into leadership soon. You won’t be managing a team, and we won’t be creating a title above “Senior Product Manager” any time soon. If you prefer clear roadmaps handed to you or don’t enjoy working things out yourself with a team, this might not be a good fit. Same if you avoid decisions or struggle when things change quickly. We’re not looking for someone who just keeps the backlog tidy or takes orders. We need someone thoughtful, proactive, and ready to take real responsibility for what we ship and why. ##### Purpose of the role You’ll bring **direction**, **structure**, and **focus**. Your job is to turn ideas into real things, fully **leading cross-functional projects** from start to finish and making sure nothing gets stuck in endless discussions. You’ll keep everyone **aligned and moving forward**, ensuring we **build what truly matters**. Our Head of Product combines a strong engineering background with strategic product thinking, driving our product vision. He relies on strong PO/PMs like you to drive and execute the product vision. **That will also include:** * Supporting the team in **planning and prioritizing** work that aligns with strategy and reality. * Translating complex requirements into **clear specs** that make sense to everyone. * **Balancing** **long-term** roadmap goals **with short-term** opportunities, reacting to unexpected changes (like API changes or emerging Social Media platforms). * Working across a **broad product scope**, from publisher to inbox and beyond, while dealing with platform limitations and finding the right trade-offs. * **Pairing with designers** early on to explore problems and define solid solutions. * **Collaborating** **closely with skilled and opinionated developers** who value thoughtful input, to enable the development of value-adding features. * Making sure **Sales and Marketing have what they need to talk to customers** and win them over. **We expect you to:** * **Actively shape how we work** by bringing in ideas to improve collaboration, prioritization, and focus right from the beginning. * Take **full ownership of major product initiatives**, lead them from discovery to delivery, and ship meaningful projects within your first few months. * **Make data-informed decisions**: monitoring feature adoption and trends, challenging assumptions, deriving improvement potentials, and always asking "why" before we build. ##### Are you ready for this? **We define ready as** * You have at least 5+ years of experience as a **Product Manager or a Product Owner**and successfully owned and delivered complex product initiatives end-to-end. * You have a **deep understanding of shaping meaningful AI features.** * You **understand****software development processes** and how to work with engineers. * **AI** is part of your toolbelt **in your daily work** (analysing data, writing prompts, optimizing how you work). * You **prioritize backlogs, allocate resources**, and **manage multiple projects**without losing focus. * You think in iterations, **breaking big ideas into manageable steps**, and are **pragmatic** about **what to build and when**, focused on purpose over perfection. * You know how to **collect and read the data** to guide decisions and spot opportunities for improvement or growth. * You bring fresh, **user-first ideas** and **stay curious** about new tools, trends, and competitors. * You **have an opinion** and aren’t afraid to speak up, but you are also open to **challenge** and better **arguments.** * You are experienced in working with different **stakeholders** and navigating **shifting requirements.** * You understand modern product management practices and **aren’t afraid to dive into new technologies** or unfamiliar problems (think: AI, Social Media platform shifts, unexpected API changes). * You're **fluent in English** and **confident in communicating your ideas, decisions, and reasoning** across teams. **Nice-to-haves:** * German language skills * Technical understanding/technical background * Experience with social media platforms and SaaS products * Certification as Agile Product Owner ##### Our stack/How we work: * The product team plans everything in **Linear**, collaborates with designers in **Figma,** and works in **5-week development cycles**, each starting with a kickoff to clarify resources, scope, and what we can realistically accomplish, whether for research or execution. * We keep our processes agile with needed fixed points such as **weekly team meetings**, **retrospectives**, and **ad hoc** collaboration via **Slack**, **Google Meet**, or **Slack Huddles**. We are always open to jumping on calls, diving into problems together, and making sure humour is part of the process. Strong GIF game is recommended. * We enhance productivity with advanced AI features of **Raycast Pro**, track user feedback in **Productboard,** and analyze product usage with **PostHog** to guide decisions and priorities. * Bigger projects typically span 2–3 cycles, but we aim to ship a **meaningful first iteration within one cycle.** * The entire Swat.io team collaborates on Slack, Linear, Google Meet, Notion, Google Suite, and FigJam. **Product Unit Guiding Principles** **Iterate Agilely:** * We prefer small iterations over waterfall. * We ship often & early. * We embrace continuous change. **Simplicity Wins:** * Simplicity is in our DNA. * No project is too small, but there is definitely a „too big“. * We value clear and simple design. * Simplicity also means no technical debt. **Collaboration First/ one for all, all for one:** * Arguments before ego. * We are one team that supports each other. * We are managers of ourselves. **Data-Driven Excellence:** * Data is a strong argument. * Challenge the status quo. **Positive Team Culture:** * We are good & fun people. * We assume the best intent. * We give feedback because we care about each other. ##### What you’ll find: * **Personal development:**An exciting area of responsibility with high autonomy and opportunity to bring your ideas and improvements to shape our product. * **Annual learning & development budget:**You’ll receive €1,000 per year and 4 additional days off for professional or personal development. * **Professional equipment:**We’ll equip you with everything you need: MacBook, smartphone, headset, and more. * **Salary:** Permanent contract with a gross annual salary between EUR 60.000,- and 75.000,- for a 38.5-hour work-week, depending on your level of experience and demonstrated expertise. Overtime will be compensated as time off. * **Flexibility:** We work with a flexible hours model with no core working hours that allows you to shape your workdays around your needs and those of your team and customers. * **Remote-friendly model:** You can comfortably work full-remote from your country and/or from our Vienna office. Whatever works best for you, as long as you are located in Europe. You can also work abroad from anywhere in the world for up to 3 months per year - just keep time zones in mind. * **Family-friendly:**We guarantee your job after parental leave and offer truly flexible working hours and models. Around 40% of our team members are parents, showing how seriously we take work-life balance. * **Team spirit:**At Swat.io, we are makers who excel at what we do while caring for each other’s well-being and creating a supportive environment. We have regular team collaboration activities and bi-annual company events that bring all Swaties from around the world together to connect and celebrate in Vienna. If you are located outside of Vienna, we will support your travel costs. * **Public transport support:**If you’re based in Austria, we support you with a yearly public transport ticket (Vienna public transport pass or a portion of the KlimaTicket). *We are proud to have an inclusive workplace environment that will foster your development no matter your gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, education level, or race.* ##### What you won’t find at Swat.io: * Annoying micro-management * Office politics * Lengthy coordination and approval processes * Monotonous tasks and boring work * Egos and bullshit before real results
