Anforderungen

•Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable technical field
•Several years of experience in mechanical design ideally in automotive or Tier-1 supplier environment
•Proven track record of delivering mechanical systems from concept to SOP
•Strong proficiency in CATIA V5, CREO, or NX
•Expert knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
•Solid understanding of die casting, sheet metal, plastics, and joining processes
•Experience mentoring or leading engineers and working in cross-functional teams
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Intercultural competence
•Fluent English; German and/or Chinese are a plus

Deine Aufgaben

•Act as the primary technical counterpart for European OEM engineering teams
•Build and maintain trusted long-term customer relationships
•Capture, clarify, and translate customer requirements for HQ engineering teams
•Lead or support customer design meetings and technical reviews
•Proactively identify customer pain points and upcoming needs
•Ensure smooth cross-continental communication between EU customers and HQ teams
•Align engineering decisions, priorities, and schedules
•Consolidate technical viewpoints to ensure rapid responses to customer requests
•Communicate EU-specific design constraints and OEM expectations to HQ teams
•Own the mechanical architecture for current and next-generation platforms
•Lead parametric modeling and design reviews
•Drive material selection and DFM/DFA decisions
•Collaborate with CAE teams on projects
•Manage prototyping and mechanical integration activities
•Analyze test results and implement design improvements
•Mentor and guide a small team of mechanical engineers
•Oversee supplier engagement for mechanical components and tooling
•Participate in internal and external design reviews
•Monitor industry trends and innovative technologies
•Drive continuous improvement in processes and development workflows
