# Senior Maria DB Administrator (m/w/d) City: Zwickau **What tasks can you expect with us?** * Administration, maintenance and optimization of our MariaDB databases * Ensuring data integrity, availability and security * Carrying out performance analyses and optimizations * Implementation of backup and recovery strategies * Supporting the planning and implementation of database migrations * Working with developers to optimize database queries and structures * Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting problems * Documentation of database architectures and processes * Automation of database installation and maintenance **What do we want from you?** * Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification * Sound knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and experience in the administration of relational databases * Experience with SQL and database design * Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies as well as performance optimization * Ansible Knowledge is not essential * Linux knowledge is an advantage * Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) is an advantage * Ability to work in a team, analytical thinking and a structured way of working * Good communication skills in English **​Interested?
