Job Description
Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

You lead a diverse analytical team of 8-10 associates and thereby support the development of the full product portfolio by supplying high quality analytical results and technologies.

You are accountable for all operational aspect of the laboratory, including capacity planning, resource management, training and coaching of associates.

You provide scientific and operational input into project related topics based on your expertise and knowledge.

Essential tasks include approval of data as well as proper stakeholder management. You ensure excellent collaboration and are a reliable partner for our stakeholders.

You contribute and drive implementation of development strategies on science and technology.

You care for the development of your associates, aiding in their development and thereby actively contribute to the success of the department.
What you’ll bring to the role:
-
Technical expert studies with PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or other natural sciences or Master of Science with four years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Proven experience in people management on the operational level.
-
Experience with mass spectrometric characterization of proteins/peptides/glycans is highly desirable. This includes theoretical and practical knowledge of state-of-the-art MS systems as well as data processing software solutions.

You bring along protein chemistry knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to analytical challenges.

Fluency in English and German (oral and written).
Desirable Requirements:

Proficient scientific/technical writing and presentation skills.

Broad experience in protein/peptide/glycan separation approaches (i.e. chromatographic, various modes).

Understanding of development activities and processes in Biopharma and knowledge on relevant regulatory guidelines.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 77.543,90/year (on a full-time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
We are open for part-time and job-sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
