# Senior Manager for Site Network Optimization & Supply Chain Excellence (m/f/d) **Essen,Germany** | **Full time** | **Flex** # YOUR ROLE This role leads the global implementation of Brenntag's "Essentials" site optimization, focusing on enhancing cost-efficiency in last-mile operations and overseeing regional Supply Chain Services. You will manage network traffic to ensure optimal performance and design, driving improved productivity, reliability, and user experience. Additionally, you will lead a team of 5-7 professionals, collaborating with the Supply Chain department and reporting directly to the Senior Director of Technical Services – Supply Chain & Services. This role offers flexibility, with the option to be based at one of our EMEA locations. The specific office placement will be determined in alignment with both your preferences and the needs of the business. # Key Responsibilities * Lead the global SNO and Excellence Team, overseeing site network optimization initiatives. * Drive concept development for SNO, defining KPIs, benchmarks, and standardization guidelines (e.g., packaging). * Act as the approval gate for 3PL governance processes and strategic CAPEX investments. * Prepare and execute strategies for upcoming site closures and future network optimization waves. * Ensure a balanced approach between BES/BSP interests, optimizing overall network performance. * Provide M&A transaction support, conducting synergy assessments for network operations. * Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the Site List (Network database) for operational integrity. * Develop and implement strategies for optimizing global network performance and efficiency. * Streamline local networks by introducing IT/technology platforms to enhance transparency and cost efficiency. * Foster collaboration across regions and divisions, aligning network optimization strategies with business goals and driving continuous improvement. # YOUR PROFILE * 5-10 years of professional experience in supply chain, logistics, network optimization, or related fields, with a proven track record in business transformations. * Expertise in harmonizing processes and systems at an international level, optimizing networks across diverse regions. * Familiar with network monitoring and performance analysis tools, ensuring efficient network operation and optimization. * Strong understanding of matrix organizations in international contexts, with proven success in navigating complex global structures. * Ability to manage contracts, interface with contractors, and maintain a big-picture perspective in network projects. * Technical and logistical credibility, with a preference in the chemical or process industries. * International working experience, particularly in Europe and North America, driving cross-regional network strategies. * Solid project management skills, capable of planning, executing, and overseeing complex network optimization initiatives. * Leadership experience managing teams of network engineers and analysts, with a track record in team building and development. * Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, and fluency in English. # OUR OFFER * Exciting professional tasks and challenges in a diverse and secure working environment with the world market leader in the chemical distribution industry and DAX listed company * Arrange your working hours and breaks flexible via your flextime account; Thanks to our company's internal regulation on mobile working, your professional and private life can be combined even better * Our personalized onboarding program, guarantees that you will be off to a quick start * A competitive remuneration package * Take advantage of our company-sponsored pension scheme * Your well-being is very important to us: Take advantage of our preventive health care offers, running groups, and yoga courses, * Stay fit and do your bit for the environment at the same time: Lease your dream bike conveniently via Brenntag # INTERESTED?
