## Senior Machine Learning Engineer (d/f/m) ###### Permanent employee, Full-time ·Ableton AG / Germany --- ##### Your mission Ableton is expanding its machine learning capabilities, and we’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help design, build, and scale ML features into Live and other parts of the Ableton ecosystem. You’ll join a small ML-focused product team working on creative tools for musicians. This role involves leading efforts across research and production, from prototyping to deployment. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional group that includes product owners, researchers, and engineers. We’re looking for someone who’s excited by music technology, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and eager to define the future of ML in the creative space. This position is based in Germany. We offer the option to choose your own work model where you can alternate flexibly between remote and on-site work in our Berlin office. ##### Your responsibilities * You design, train, evaluate and optimize ML models for creative workflows. * You lead ML research projects and help explore new directions. * You guide data collection, curation and ongoing dataset maintenance. * You collaborate with product owners, researchers, and engineers. * You build infrastructure to support reproducible and scalable model development. * You ensure your models are fast, reliable, and usable by musicians on real-world machines. ##### Your profile * You have experience with deep learning, PyTorch, and production-ready model development. * You bring practical knowledge of ML Ops (experiment tracking, deployment, cloud compute). * You have worked with audio or music-related ML problems. * You’re comfortable exploring new problems and working in uncertainty. * You enjoy collaborating across disciplines and guiding others. * You understand how people create music—even if you’re not a musician yourself.
