## Job Description

Our last mile delivery company has long ago moved up from the startup phase, and we can hardly call ourselves a scale-up anymore, but that feeling and mentality is something we never want to let go of. As a Senior Legal Counsel for Austria at foodora, based in Vienna, you will focus on the legal matters of our Austrian business. You will report to our Head of Legal, Austria and work closely with the rest of our European legal team as well as with colleagues at Delivery Hero’s other regional and central headquarters.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the Head of Legal, Austria as a business partner to local management and other stakeholders providing legal solutions to the organisation
* Providing legal advice on various topics such consumer protection law, labor law, and commercial contracts
* Collaborating with regional and global legal team members at Delivery Hero group ensuring alignment with and implementation of the group’s legal and governance standards
* Collaborating with regional legal, product and commercial teams ensuring legal review and execution of product and commercial initiatives
* Developing legal frameworks and processes for legal compliance
* Working closely with the team to ensure legal compliance processes are adhered to and playing a driving role in implementing system changes and creating awareness of legal compliance in operations
* Supporting in identifying, assessing, and addressing regulatory challenges to business objectives
## Qualifications
You are
* A legal generalist: You either are or want to become a legal generalist with primarily responsibility of legal matters in the Austrian business
* Solution-oriented: You possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, focusing on ways to solve the tasks in a legally accurate yet pragmatic and timely manner
* Structured: You can create structure even in the most unstructured environment
* Business minded: Our legal team members are business-enablers and constant sparring partners to our commercial and operational teams where your business mindset will come well in hand!
* Team player: You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and have a way to convey legal concepts and requirements in simple words for an audience of non-lawyers
Requirements
* You are a fully-qualified lawyer in Austria with a university degree
* You have at least three (3) years of post-qualification experience
* You communicate fluently in English and German, orally and in writing
* It will be considered a plus if you have experience from tech, platforms, FMCG, logistics/last mile delivery or other fast paced-environments such as start ups
## Additional Information
Based on full-time employment (38.5 hours per week), we offer an annual gross salary starting minimum €67,000 (all-in) depending on qualifications and experience, noting that the offer range can be flexible. In addition, you will receive a profit share in the form of a share package.
