**Key Responsibilities**
* Support the launch of innovative services, features, and enhancements of existing services in Germany and other European markets with legal advice. Advise PayPal’s product teams, management (including senior management), business, compliance, and other teams on all legal requirements applicable to such new services or enhancement. Review new user experiences.
* Advise on product changes required by new laws and regulations, and identify new opportunities resulting from new regulation.
* Update and draft terms and conditions for new products and services.
* Support developing and maintaining efficient legal advice processes.
* Provide training on legal requirements to our product/business teams.
* Manage budget for external law advice.
**What We’re Looking For**
* Fully qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials (preferably qualified in Germany or another European market).
* At least 7 years of experience in-house, at a law firm, or at a regulatory agency.
* Strong expertise in either payments law/financial services law or e-commerce law.
* Proactive in identifying business and legal issues, evaluating risks, and finding creative solutions.
* Ability to take ownership
* Collaborative team player who enjoys working across multiple countries.
* Flexibility to work with colleagues in the United States to accommodate time zone differences.
* Excellent English language skills; other European languages are a plus.
