Senior Business Development Manager (f/m/d) - CMC Services at Nuvisan GmbH
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Reporting to the Head of CMC Business Development, you will promote NUVISAN CMC Business Unit. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven BD Hunter. The ideal candidate excels at identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and is passionate about closing deals.
Prospection
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling/emailing, networking, social media, and other lead generation strategies.
* Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
* Conduct discovery calls, pitch solutions, and presentations to meet client needs.
* Ensure a high level of communication with clients, in collaboration with experts.
* Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders in R&D, procurement, and executive teams.
* Plan and follow-up commercial visits and roadshows, represent the organization at industry events.
* Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape to identify and target market growth opportunities.
* Work closely with Marketing to identify new opportunities.
Proposals & Contracts
* Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key sales metrics.
* Lead pricing and contract negotiation aligned with internal delivery capabilities and margin goals.
* Ensure the RFP is created to best in class for efficient proposal submission.
* Reach fixed objectives in terms of Order Entry.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project management and technical teams to ensure delivery excellence upon project initiation.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
* Education in life sciences (ideally analytics, pharmacy, biochemistry) or equivalent.
* Functional and/or technical knowledge in the field of CDMO/CMC services.
* 3 to 5 years of experience in business development (preferably in a hunter role).
* Strong resilience – willingness to grow Nuvisan’s customers portfolio.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-starter with a hunter mentality and ability to work independently.
* Fluent English in speaking and writing is required, additional languages such as German and French are appreciated.
* Remote or located in one of our 3 GMP offices (Neu-Ulm or Waltrop in Germany, or Nice in France).
* Willing to travel to visit clients and Nuvisan operational sites.
