# Senior AI App Engineer (Full-Stack)

The Senior AI Application Engineer is a Full-Stack engineering role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications with AI capabilities at their core. This role requires strong production level Full-Stack expertise, with a very good understanding of how to effectively integrate state-of-the-art AI tools and services.
This role prioritizes software engineering over deep AI knowledge—focusing on building robust, user-facing applications that utilize AI capabilities effectively for high-quality user experiences.
*In this role you will be flexibly assigned to mid-term MVP projects and long-term product development, based on your preferences, skills and company priorities. There is also an opportunity to be involved in short-term PoC projects.*
**Our current Tech-Stack:** Google Cloud, Firebase, Python, Typescript, Terraform, Github, Cloud Firestore, EventArc, PubSub, GCIP, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions v2, React, BigQuery, Github Actions, commercial AI services, Open Source AI Models.
* Collaboratively design and implement AI experiences as event-driven cloud-native systems.
* Implement technical designs across the stack with a high level of automation.
* Explore, design and implement high-quality, secure AI application features.
* Effectively & efficiently plan and track work in our task tracking tool.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members, including non-technical stakeholders, to refine requirements and align technical solutions with business objectives.
* Capture and analyse application data for a data-driven approach to improving our products.
* Continuously improve the quality of our codebase and our agile processes.
* Maintain our production environment and proactively take ownership of features & issues.
* Friendly, concise, audience-oriented communication in written and spoken form (English).
* Pragmatic, result-oriented analytical problem-solving skills that can overcome ambiguity.
* Self-organised, purpose-driven individual who likes collaborating with and enabling their team.
* Proven experience in owning features from technical design to release.
* Expertise in Full-Stack development, specifically with React, TypeScript, and Python.
* Strong experience architecting, building & optimizing scalable Full-Stack applications and event-driven, cloud-native systems, particularly on Google Cloud and Firebase.
* Experience seamlessly integrating AI capabilities with a strong focus on existing and emerging software engineering best practices for non-deterministic features.
* Strong DevOps capabilities: CI/CD pipeline implementation, observability, IaC (Terraform).
* Experience breaking down work into actionable tasks and refining requirements with stakeholders.
* Experience leveraging and refining agile processes within a team.
* Proven experience in quickly adopting new technologies & frameworks.
* Able to implement Clean Architecture & Onion Architecture principles.
* Experience in the publishing or media industry.
* Experience with our entire Tech-Stack.
* Experience with MLOps on Vertex AI & Weights and Biases.
* Experience applying & implementing SRE methodologies.
* Advanced understanding of ML, LLMs and trends in the AI market.
