Anforderungen

•Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related Engineering disciplines
•Excellent knowledge of military satellite communication systems, preferably with heritage on SATCOMBw
•Profound knowledge of satellite communications engineering, including technical interface and data flow
•Strong knowledge of communication engineering, including RF link budgets and antenna designs
•Strong experience in software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
•Profound experience in modern Digital Payload, Ground Station, Spacecraft Control Center, and Payload Control Center engineering
•Experience in design, development, integration, verification, and operations of Satellite Coms Systems
•Experience in leading a multi-national engineering team
•Business fluency in English and German (minimum C2 for both)

Deine Aufgaben

•Align system modifications and upgrades for SATCOMBw
•Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Lead Systems Engineers
•Oversee overall system performance, including user segment
•Supervise acceptance of major system upgrades
•Maintain system performance throughout its lifecycle
•Propose system improvements and necessary modifications
•Participate in system anomaly boards and support technical resolutions
•Conduct requirements engineering using DOORS for satellite communication systems
•Lead conceptual design activities for satellite communications
•Establish requirements for satellite systems and ground segments
•Analyze end-to-end communications performance
•Define overall system architecture and lead system trade-offs
•Develop verification and validation concepts at the system level
•Collaborate on operations concepts and prepare operational requirements
•Provide technical support to project managers on planning and risk identification
